Schemes/National Goat Rearing Scheme [N-GRS]

Towards strengthening the National Rural Livelihood Mission, Govt. of India, the trust has initiated this novel and community changing scheme to empower severely marginalized women with an annual income of barely Rs 25, 000. They earn their livelihoods as agricultural laborers earning Rs150 for a shift of eight hours manual labor. The income is not enough to meet the basic needs of the household.

Under this initiative, economically weaker and financially challenged women can receive ₹2000 to ₹5000 for purchasing minimum 1 to maximum 4 Black Bengal female baby goats.

Eligibility Criteria for National Goat Rearing Scheme [N-GRS]

• Applicants must be female citizens of India.
• The age limit is set between 20 to 40 years.
• The family income of the applicant’s husband should not exceed ₹6,000 per month.
• The benefit is aimed at economically weaker sections.
• Widowed and disabled women are also eligible to apply.
